When a tragic car accident meant being wheelchair-bound forever, this amazing client and her caretaker asked us to find land in order to build a custom home that would provide accessible living and space for motorized transportation throughout the house, especially in the kitchen and master bath. We quickly partnered with Architects Northwest to create a house that would not only incorporate universal design features that blur the line between form and function, but restore this client’s day-to-day independence through thoughtful, intentional placement of cabinets, switches and outlets.
